Hilary Law - Chair

Hilary has been involved in MiA since the early days, both sponsoring a child and rolling her sleeves up and getting stuck in on a weekly basis. She has always worked in the charity sector and loves to lead projects and initiatives that change people's lives. MiA is no exception.

As an adventurer at heart, and a lover of travel Hilary has visited the projects in the Philippines several times and taken teams to be involved. Over the years she has been especially involved in championing women and family relationships and set up training courses both locally and internationally.

Favorites are her family, food, design and looking after her chickens and sheep.

Rachel Bedicer

Rachel served as a missionary in the Philippines for 10 years with a UK charity that supports, houses and educates Filipino children. Rachel and her husband, Ric, were youth Pastors for the church in Subic, training young people to lead a children’s ministry program in the local community, which is still running today. During this time Rachel met Tim & Emily and was able to visit and see first hand the work of MiA in Cebu.

Since returning to the UK Rachel has begun a career in finance administration, currently working for a Housing Association as a Rent and Income Accountant. She has four children and enjoys serving on the church worship team in Manchester.

Rachel joined the board in 2023
